SOUND & SPACE HOLDING

If there is one word I had to choose to describe Rachel’s ability to hold space, it is integrity. This is something I truly admire about this woman, and it shines through when she holds space. The space she holds it unassuming, non-judgemental and open. She does not place herself above the circle, but rather embeds herself within it, and truly meets you where you are at, honouring your journey, and hers at the same time with truth, transparency, and so much love.

It is a gift to be in circle with her.

Rachel is a caring and deeply knowledgeable facilitator. She created and fluidly maintained an atmosphere of ease and trust throughout our time working together, which really enabled an inner and outer spaciousness to navigate through and begin processing material coming up. She was attuned and responsive to the mental and emotional states of being that participants were moving through, doing deep personal work. Rachel maintained a strong, gentle presence and sense of calm supporting those who were navigating through particularly difficult experiences and supporting the group as a whole. Even with such a deep knowledge and depth of experience she is humble, inclusive and transparent in the way she relates to those around her, something I found very valuable in lending a confidence to my own journey.

I can’t wait to work with Rachel again, she is an absolute legend!

It’s hard to describe in words the effects of Rachel’s melodies and rhythms in a medicine space. The place from which they come is both totally ethereal, beyond time and space, and also so rooted in the land, in the material, from the depths, that is has a way of settling and centring you, as well as taking you on a journey. The journey she takes you on with her sound is like a soft embrace, a giant exhale, like being rocked in the arms of a compassionate and loving being. Her sound is medicine itself, words don’t suffice for the profound ways it has brought me calm and joy in a medicine space, I am ever grateful.

The imprints of her sound are with me forever, guiding me in times of need.
