A plant belonging to the Nightshade or Solanaceae family, currently there are over 70 species of this plant recognised, most of which originate from North, Central and South America.
Today, this species often is perceived in a negative light, yet traditionally these species was often used in a ritualistic context, and were viewed as a powerful and sacred teacher plant. This particular species is not the same that is now cultivated and consumed recreationally worldwide, but a South American variation from the jungle.
In its traditional context, it is often considered to be powerfully grounding and clearing, and one of the oldest and wisest of the plant teachers used to form communication between the plant world.
