Damiana Flower Essence || Turnera diffusa

Damiana, also known as Turnera diffusa,  is a plant originally from Mexico, where it has a long history of traditional use. It is most well known for its reputed aphrodisiac effects, but also has an array of other actions.

Damiana supports and nourishes the nervous system, is used as a tonic for women, and it has a relaxing, yet uplifting and euphoric effect. It is the leaf which is most commonly used, and it has been found to include a range of constituents including: cyanogenic glycosides, flavonoids, maltol glucoside, phenolics, monoterpenoids, sesquiterpenoids, triterpenoids.
