A species of Montezuma cypress found in Mexico and Guatemala, these trees usually grow near water, and were traditionally held in high respect.
The word Ahuehuete originates from the Nahuatl word for this tree, which can be translated as “Old man of the water”. This essence was made in the presence of the most revered Ahuehuete tree, El Árbol del Tule, a wise and ancient being over 2000 years old and with a girth of around 42m, found in Santa María del Tule, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Local Zapotec legend states that the tree was planted on this sacred site by an Aztec priest, Pechocha, who served the Aztec wind god Ehecatl.

All together this aims to remove interference between you and plant, allowing the water to be a clear interface for the an unobstructed vegetal-human relation.
