Acacia floribunda is an Australian native to the Victoria, South East QLD & Northern NSW regions, now naturalised in most of Australia. Floribunda is an easier acacia to propograte as it is not micro-endemic anad grows quickly.

Acacia floribunda reportedly contains the indole alkaloids N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT)  and N,N-dimethyltryptamine (NMT) derived from L-tryptophan and found endogenously in many plants & animals including the mammalian brain. Whilst variable, reports claim around 0.2-0.4% in the phyllode, and 0.3-0.5% in the bark.

Ensure it has excellent drainage and plant in the sunniest spot in the garden. This species has a symbiotic relationship with certain types of soil bacteria and it may be useful to add a heap of soil from underneath a similar local species of acacia. These nitrogen fixing bacteria form nodules on the roots and fix atmospheric nitrogen to share with other plants in the soil. For micro-endemic species, it may be necessary to get a heap of soil from its native landscape for successful growth to occur.

Care for your plants: Should the plant arrive stressed, email a photo within 2 days of receiving. I suggest a stress dose of SeaSol, and a part-shady, part-sunny warm location.
